Summary/Abstract: The obligation to interpret each domestic law rule falling in the scope of EU law in conformity with EU law requires, above all, weighing up all Union law rules that are pertinent to that domestic law rule, along with the entire body of case-law of the EU Court of Justice that is relevant to those Union law rules. The natural prerequisite for this is achieving, above all, an adequate linguistic interpretation. Linguistic interpretation (including grammatical interpretation) is first in line as a method of interpreting a law rule. Still, there are two preconditions for the proper application of this interpretation method with regard to EU law: the existence of notions with an EU-specific meaning and the quality of the translation of the act concerned.
