Summary/Abstract: From a historical point of view, for a long period of time, society had a totally repressive reaction once a criminal act was detected, so it can be said that in the effort to oppose crimes in society, to act in order to eradicate the criminal phenomenon through intimidation, punitiveness, represented the first model of reaction of society and its leadership against crime. The purpose of the punishment is to re-educate the offender for the purpose of a positive return to the community in which he lives. One of the factors that most undermines the success of the social reintegration of an exoffender, prisoner, is discrimination at a personal, professional and social level. The factors underlying the perception of prisoners and exprisoners need to be known in order to understand if and how negative social attitudes towards them can be changed.
