Summary/Abstract: Forty years after the poet's death (and 90 years after his birth), "Vatra" magazine aims to reopen the "Nichita Stănescu file" by reassessing his position in the history of Romanian literature. Our approach is based on the premise that, although Nichita Stănescu remains one of the important figures of the scholarly canon, his critical reception has been rather overshadowed in recent decades.
