Summary/Abstract: The whole evolution of literary forms can be thought of in terms of the continuous negotiation between the idea of rupture and that of continuity. In the case of Nichita Stănescu, the rupture was obvious and led happily to the creation of poetic language. However, the author did not limit himself to turning his back on the literary tradition that preceded him, but through his own work he opened up a new paradigm both in terms of literature as such and in terms of thinking about literature.
