Summary/Abstract: The article analyses a combat diary that concerned one of the three subgroups of the „North” Group operating during the Third Silesian Uprising on the northern front, in the vicinity of Tarnowskie Góry and Olesno. The diary was written by the „Butrym” subgroup commander, Lieutenant Feliks Ankerstein, and it describes events that took place between 1 May and 21 July 1921. A discussion concerning its author precedes an analysis of the diary, within which particular emphasis was placed on the subgroup’s combat activities and the organizational changes to which it was subject.
