Confiscation of Valuables in Temples of Various Religious Associations in Minsk and the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic in the Light of a Document of May 1922. A Contribution to the Implementation of Bolshevik Economic and Religious Policy

Summary/Abstract: In the article, the author presents selected aspects of the Bolshevik policy of confiscating valuables stored in the temples of religious associations on the territory of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1922. The article is complemented by the report of the Central Belarusian Commission for Confiscation of Church Valuables on the territory of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Belarus written in May 1922, kept in the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus.
