Summary/Abstract: In this study, the author aims to analyze the names of coins in circulation between the 17th and 19th centuries throughout Alba County. During the documentation of this study, the linguist used one catalogue of rare books, where the book collections of museums or city and departmental libraries are inventoried and described. In addition to the neutral cataloguing, librarians transcribed, in each case, the annotations made on the books over time by various priests or by readers who had access to these cultural objects. For linguists, these notes are essential, apart from the philological interest, because they contain information about books and their history. We can observe on those notes data regarding the procurement of books, for example, the amounts of money spent on their acquisition, which helps with the proposed investigation. This research can conduct new information about Romanian monetary terminology and more.
