Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present an analysis of how the situation of Ukrainian workers in Poland is perceived, based on a research project carried out between October 2020 and January 2022. The research was qualitative, conducted using individual in-depth interviews among members and leaders of the Inter-Enterprise Trade Union of Ukrainian Workers in Poland and Ukrainian workers loosely affiliated with it (membership in this organisation is fluid). The analysis focuses on how labour migrants from Ukraine function on the Polish labour market, their working conditions and salaries, their educational needs and adaptation issues, as well as the related unfair practices of some employment agencies and employers in Poland. The findings also show labour migrants’ susceptibility to discrimination and the difficulties they have fighting it decisively and effectively. Above all, however, the analysis illustrates the process- -like character of migrants’ adaptation to the Polish labour market and the deficits in providing the migrants with systemic support in this respect.
