Summary/Abstract: The Romanian–Greek relations followed, during the last decades of the XIXth Century and the first decades of the XXth Century, a rather winding course, being influenced by various bilateral disputes, mainly regarding particular juridical problems concerning the inheritance and succession of Greek individuals, as well as minority issues. As far as bilateral trade and economic relations are concerned, they developed continuously throughout the interwar decades, when the Romanian-Greek trade balance was constantly favorable to Romania. Based mainly on archival materials, this paper is an attempt to assess the main aspects of the Romanian-Greek Economic relations, the variety and consistency of their bilateral trade, as well as the differences and the moments of rapprochement between the two countries, in a time frame comprising the interwar decades.
