Short Description
Analele Dobrogei was first published in 1920. It shortly became one of the most important journals about culture and history in Dobrogea. The Old Series was edited by Constantin Brătescu between 1920 and 1938, and was analyzing the evolution of Dobrouja from different perspectives: archaeology, folklore, ethnography, geography, geology, fauna, etc. The New Series of this journal was initiated by the National History and Archaeology Museum Constanța in 1995, focusing on subjects such as modern and contemporary history, regional folklore and
literature etc. After a seven years’ gap the museum launched the 3rd Series of the journal, dealing with themes such as local and national history, ethnic minorities, military studies.
