Summary/Abstract: The present paper highlights the importance of Dobrudja province, in the regional contest of Great Powers. For Romania, Dobrudja was another item of dispute with Russia, as the later insisted on keeping some military privileges after 1878. Moreover, the very reduced distance between Cernavoda-Constanța and the Bulgarian frontier unrest the Romanian political establishment, which take the opportunity of the Second Balcanic War and enlarge the Dobrudja Southern frontier. In general, Dobrudja was important for the political geography of the region, including bilateral relations and Great Powers strategies in there. First World War enahced this importance, as Dobrudja becoming a serios theater of war.
