Summary/Abstract: The events of recent months, including the COVID-19 epidemic that has been ongoing since March 2020 and the war in Ukraine since 24 February 2022, have precipitated a series of actions on the part of the legislator aimed at fully digitising proceedings before administrative courts. Electronic means of communication, in fact, make it possible to organise the justice system in such a way as to enable a citizen to have greater access to the court and to have his or her case heard more efficiently, despite the limitations resulting from successive waves of coronavirus infections. The aim of the article is to answer the question: whether the application by administrative courts of the previous legal regulations contained in the provisions of the Act of 30 August 2002 Law on Proceedings before Administrative Courts (consolidated text Journal of Laws of 2022, item 329) allowing cases to be heard in a closed session and the new rules for hearing cases introduced by the special laws of 2 March 2020 on special solutions related to the prevention, prevention and combating of COVID-19, other infectious diseases and crisis situations caused by them (consolidated text Journal of Laws of 2021, item 2095) – has a significant impact on the efficiency of proceedings in the administrative judiciary.
