Legal expenses insurance and its relations with other commercial insurance – selected issues

Summary/Abstract: The goal of the article is to present relations between legal expenses insurance and other types of insur- ance. An author pays attention to changes made by new act: Insurance and Reinsurance Activity Act, especially for regulations concerning to conjunction of legal expenses insurance with other insurance groups. An author discusses legal guarantees of independency of legal expenses insurance, which have their roots in 87/344/...WG Directive, as well as Insurance and Reinsurance Activity Act. Moreover, the subject of analysis is also the relation between legal expenses insurance and third party liability in- surance (voluntary, as well as obligatory), especially scope of costs covered in obligatory third party liability insurance. What is more, an article shows package model of selling legal expenses insurance and legal consequences connected with its use.
