Traditional versus new diagnosis of phoneme realization disorders: a proposal of analysis

Summary/Abstract: The author juxtaposes two models of diagnosis of phoneme realisation disorders that are present in Polish speech therapy. She indicates several categories of analysis that make it possible to find the differences between two different methods of diagnostic procedures. The presented considerations take into account the functioning of two main concepts of dyslalia: the traditional approach and the new one. It should be noted, however, that recent findings point to the existence of yet another method of diagnosis or speech therapy, namely the traditional “powdered” model, in which the elements taken from the new concept of dyslalia are introduced into the traditional scheme.
