INTRODUCEREA ÎN CIRCUITUL ȘTIINȚIFIC A DOUĂ EXEMPLARE BĂLGRĂDENE DE CHIRIACODROMION, 1699, DE LA MĂNĂSTIREA BISTRIȚA OLTEANĂ
Two Copies from Bălgrad, Chiriacodromion (Homiliary), 1699, from the Bistrița Olteană Monastery, Subjected to Scientific Scrutiny

Summary/Abstract: The Neagoe Basarab Centre for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage Objects, within the Monastery of Bistrița, preserves prints from various printing shops, including Bălgrad. The Chiriacodromion printed in 1699 appears under the administration of Metropolitan Athanasius Anghel, having as prefacer and printer Mihail Iștvanovici from Walachia. The book contains valuable Sermons to be read in church on Sundays, known as Cazanie (Homiliary). With the present communication we would like to put two copies of this edition in our monastery under the scientific scrutiny. They are in a good state of preservation, one of them also has a title page, which has made it easier to identify them.
