"PARIS IS THIS, NOT A TOY!": CUDOMIR TRAVELS AROUND EUROPE

Summary/Abstract: The article interprets the theme of the creative travels of the writer and artist Dimitar-Chorbadzhiyski - Chudomir in different European countries. It is based on his memoirs, his periodical publications, and his letters. The reflections of these journeys on the creative worlds of the writer and the artist are outlined. The circumstances surrounding his stay in France, Turkey, Italy, Armenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and other European countries are related to the social conditions in Europe from the 1930s to the 1960s. A special place is devoted to the analogies that Chudomir makes between Bulgaria and other European countries, as well as some of his interesting observations about the respective culture and traditions.
