Summary/Abstract: This paper briefly investigates the influence of cross-linguistic differences on cognitive processes. A substantial body of literature has been produced in the last two decades providing empirical evidence in support of this causal relationship, demonstrating that the first language of a speaker influences the way they think about the world, including observations in the domains of space, time, and colour perception.
