Summary/Abstract: This paper presents a brief overview of the ways foreign languages influence people’s choices. The overview provides insights primarily into the foreign language effect on making moral judgments in the context of moral dilemmas, as well as the decision-making process connected with variation in risk-framing. Some of the possible explanations that this paper investigates are reduced emotion, increased deliberation, and psychological distance.
