KOLAJ TEKNİĞİ VE YARATICI SANAT EĞİTİMİ İÇİN ÖNEMİ
COLLAGE TECHNIQUE AND ITS IMPORTANCE FOR CREATIVE ART EDUCATION

Summary/Abstract: The collage technique, which is an artistic means of expression, is effective in developing the imagination of the individual, constructing the relationship of the whole with the parts and combining the different parts in a new composition resulting in developing the talent of synthesis. Moreover, this technique strengthens a student’s ability to think in a free and creative way as she expresses her art by eradicating the barriers of tradition. The aim of the research is to reveal how important collage techniques and applications in art education are in raising creative individuals. This article, which is carried out by literature review in qualitative research method, deals with the collage technique employed in the production of art in the early 20th century, which is often used in contemporary art and art education. After a general evaluation on the collage technique, the research on its contributions and importance to creative arts education was expanded and the collected data was analyzed using the "descriptive analysis" method and a conclusion was reached.
