DOOM 3 ȘI CUVINTELE ÎMPRUMUTATE DIN LIMBA ENGLEZĂ. MODIFICĂRI ȘI ADĂUGĂRI
DOOM 3 AND LOANWORDS FROM ENGLISH. CHANGES AND ADDITIONS

Summary/Abstract: In this article we aim to analyze from a quantitative point of view the changes that have appeared in the words borrowed from the English language, based on the Orthographic, Orthoepic and Morphological Dictionary of the Romanian Language, 3rd edition (2021). The borrowed words will be categorized in order to highlight the directions of their norming and integration in the vocabulary of the Romanian language. Another niche, undertaken also from a quantitative point of view, is related to the newly introduced words in the Dictionary, more precisely 255 words. In this direction, we will consider the presentation of the reasons for the need to add them and their inclusion in semantic domains.
