Summary/Abstract: Revolutionary developments in technology in recent years have enabled the use of tablet computers and smart mobile phones for a wide variety of purposes. The use of mobile devices for educational purposes, namely "Mobile Distance Education", draws attention as an increasingly widespread method. The fact that the method almost completely destroys the boundaries of time and space and provides freedom of movement adds great flexibility to the education process. For this reason, the contribution of the method to the music education process and the determination of the learning environment and experience of the students are seen as a subject worth investigating. The aim of the research is to organize the students' Ear Training extracurricular study process and content with the mobile distance education method and to determine the experiences of the students regarding this method. In the study, Ear Training course, in which students' extracurricular work processes are quite inadequate, was preferred. As a result of the research in which the descriptive method was preferred, it has been determined with the students’ feedback that with the mobile distance education method, the number of the days that students study increased by an average of 2 days, the daily study time increased by an average of 20 minutes, the extracurricular study processes were spread over a wide range of hours such as 08:00-03:59, and the studies could be carried out without any space restrictions. Moreover, when compared to traditional extracurricular study process, it was determined that the method was more effective in theoretical and practical interval-chord studies, rhythmic and melodic dictation studies. The results, reached within the scope of the research, show that students' Ear Training extracurricular study processes can be successfully organized with the mobile distance education method and that students can use the method effectively.
