Summary/Abstract: The subject of the present work is an analysis of Academic Stefan Pavlov’s professional biography. As a starting point, the paper traces the main Criminal Procedure laws which have been in force in Bulgaria for the last 100 years. Using the mentioned research as a frame of refenrence, the significance of Stefan Pavlov's scientific contribution to the development of Bulgaria’s Criminal Procedure system in the context of transition of three forms of government – Constitutional Monarchy, People's Republic and Republic – is analysed. The focus of the study shifts through the examined Criminal Procedure laws’ characteristics, the importance of Pavlov's scientific work on the interpretation of the specific law, that is subject to review, and finally, switches to an assessment of the writings of Academic Pavlov's influence on Bulgarian Criminal Procedure Law’s scope of application almost 35 years after the publication of his last unedited monographic work.
