Summary/Abstract: This publication examines and analyzes certain aspects of institutional oppression and social exclusion in the social policy of Bulgaria between 1944–1993, applied to persons deprived of the right to a pension due to „fascist activity“. The separate social-legislative measures and initiatives of the state and political (party) government as part of the penal practices of the socialist (communist) regime are traced. The specific elements characterizing the repressive nature of the system and the ways for its (mitigation) overcoming during the indicated period are derived.
