Summary/Abstract: In our communication we propose to discuss the use of the temporal forms of the subjunctive in French and Romanian and the difficulties presented by Romanian students. The subjunctive is described in French grammar as a mode of subtle usage, in the concrete sense, a mode the most mysterious or at least the biggest of secrets, the most delicate to use, but also the richest in fine nuances, according to the vision of G. and R. Le Bidois.
