Summary/Abstract: Sculpture art; It has survived as a means of expression of power and aesthetics since the dawn of humankind. Although it has changed over time, it remained bound to certain patterns until the 19th century, when Mythos and Logos intersected. However, along with modern art, sculpture art has continued its existence with unlimited spaces, applications and a wide variety of materials. This change and development, which has continued since the 20th century, has revealed different designs and applications with different understandings in the works produced. One of these changes is ephemeral art. Sculpture art, which is in the group of plastic arts, has also had its share of this situation. In addition to the use of natural materials, instant (performance) applications or artistic activities such as Land - art have made itself felt from the second half of the XX century. In this study, the historical process and application areas of snow and ice sculptures within the framework of ephemeral art, especially in plastic arts, will be investigated.
