Summary/Abstract: The steps taken by Türkiye in the last 20 years show that the country has undergone a change in terms of ideology and goals. University students will shape the future of this country with what they do and what they will do. In this sense, it is important for the future of the country that students walk the path with the right methods and focus on the right goals. In this context, this study aims to measure university students’ perceptions of ideology and ideals and to determine their current state of commitment. This study wishes to contribute to the planning of the future of the country in this way. For this, students were asked 5 closed-ended questions/propositions to determine their demographic status, 10 to determine their student status, 10 to determine their country’s sensitivities, 9 to determine their ideological commitment, and 9 to determine their commitment to ideals. In addition, 2 open-ended questions were included in order to determine the ideal and ideology with which the students were close. In this study, which was carried out on the sample of Aksaray University Ortaköy Vocational School students, 215 people were reached with an online questionnaire. The distributions of the data (frequencies, descriptives, etc.) obtained through the IBM SPSS (version 29) statistical program were revealed, the students’ participation in the statements was evaluated, and the data were interpreted by showing them on cross tables (crasstabs). Based on the findings examined, it was concluded that students studying in social programs, students over the age of 25, and students with better economic status were more committed to ideology and ideals. In addition, it was concluded that “women are more committed to ideologies and men to ideals”.
