Summary/Abstract: International crime is a phenomenon that has appeared at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, undergoing evolution in its meaning and scope and is closely related to terms organized crime, underworld and social evil introduced at that time. In the late 1920s and early 1930s the Bulgarian society saw the beginning of the process of formation of organized crime on a Western model, but with clearly expressed local characteristics.
