Summary/Abstract: The expansion of the technical and communication fields had the effect of increasing the quantity of images with which we come into contact in reality. Through the functions and roles they fulfill, images have a transformative effect on us. They are constituted not only as simple representations of real objects, but serve as identity markers, with a formative role of the person. The work of Serge Tisseron, a French psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, studies how man's relationships with his peers, but also with objects that previously only had a mediating role in relationships with otherness, have changed, under the influence of images.
