Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article is the Canon of Cosmas and Damian from the manuscript Syn. typ. 131 from the RGADA, XI-XII centuries, known as the Book of Eliin. In the acrostics of this canon one rare case is observed: the presence of two female names - Tudora and Zoya. The acronym Tudora is associated with the tomb inscription found near the Round Church at Preslav, which includes Tudora's name. The way the name is spelled, Tudora, suggests the archaic nature of the text of the canon. The name of Zoe in the Canon of Cosmas and Damian, however, suggests that it is probably another, earlier hymnographer, Zoe, and the acronym Tudora in the structure of the canon gives reason to locate the protographer of the Book of Elias around the beginning of the tenth century. The paper also draws attention to other ornamental aspects in the canon's initial pattern. The canon for Cosmas and Damian in the commented manuscript RGADA 131 is for the eighth voice and is rarely found in liturgical books (so far only in one copy) and the text studied so far is unique and for this reason extremely interesting. It is clear from manuscript studies that the canon from the Book of Elias has been replaced in other manuscripts. The article raises the possibility that this substitution may have happened only to erase the memory of Tudor, especially if it had influence in the royal court of Simeon I. A clue in this regard is the location of the tombstone - south of the Round Church. It can be assumed that Tudora was close to Simeon, for example a cousin or wife.
