Summary/Abstract: In this article we have tried to analyze one of the most important studies of N. Iorga, History of Romanesque Literatures, which, apart from the History of Romanian Literature, is not only a study of comparative literature, which today we can call a term derived from Welt Literatur, invented by Goethe, World Literature, but which can also be considered a study belonging to the field of Cultural Studies. N. Iorga is limited to the study of Romanesque literatures and the relationship between them but in the text there are many references to the work of William Shakespeare but also to German literature, as the study aims as specified in the subtitle both their development and always relations of literary influence, but more complex, more elaborate relations. Perhaps the only shortcoming of the book is the fact that we do not have a vision of Romanian literature, from the perspective of the relationship with the study of other Romance literatures.
