Summary/Abstract: Romanian language and literature is one of the fundamental subjects found in the school curriculum. The extent and complexity of the information, which are included in this disciplinary branch, make it a primary place in Romanian education. Based on the well-consolidated theoretical foundations of the written sources found in time, one of the sub-branches of this matter, namely, Romanian literature, has succeeded and still succeeds, to answer the questions of the seekers and fill the gaps of the researchers in the field. To talk about Romanian literature is to talk about literary masterpieces, about the great authors who imprinted their thoughts, feelings on pieces of paper, which then, they have become memorable either by the veracity of the redacted events or by the undeniable talent of the one who is called author or poet. Therefore, in this paper I propose to expose one of the most representative figures of the 19th century literature, namely, Vasile Alecsandri and to nuance some of the essential features of Biedermeier Romanticism whose adept he is and in whose works he finds himself with predilection. For starters, I will present some data on the life of Vasile Alecsandri, after which I will make a brief presentation of the literary trend called romance, I will expose its two directions, the, I'm going to develop what Biedermier-type romance means, and finally, I will highlight some of the essential features of this type of current found in opera ”Miorița” whose author is Vasile Alexandri himself.
