Summary/Abstract: Cinema as an artistic form results interesting on several levels: as a cultural phenomenon as well as an educational resource. In this article, with the support offered by cinematographic framework, we begin the journey through the Spanish cultural landscape in order to point out both the richness of the architectural and geographical elements as well as some of the possibilities of their use in the process of learning the Spanish language as a foreign language of university students. By knowing the architectural and geographical elements, students expand their sociocultural knowledge, their general skills and the ability to interpret Spanish reality. The structure of this journey includes several periods of Spanish cinema in various Spanish autonomous communities. Through this brief survey through Spanish cinema, students can get to know the sites that are socially or culturally emblematic, learn about the differences between rural and urban landscapes and architecture in different periods, or even follow the development of the same locality in Spanish geography through different periods. Material of this type can be useful for ELE university students at all levels of study, although, depending on the level, the didactic exploitation of this aspect of Spanish culture may vary.
