Summary/Abstract: The article contains reflections on the redistribution function of commercial insurance and points out the complexity of insurance redistribution in the contemporary market economy. In order to comply with the principle of insurance protection reality and also to remain on the market, insurance companies' activity is focused on acquiring, maintaining and investing capitals. It leads to the conclusion that commercial insurance plays the redistribution and capital function.
