Summary/Abstract: Group life insurance is a very popular and simple form of coverage for employees and their fami- lies. Such contract mostly covers many kinds of insurance accidents. Because of classification of risk covered with the above-mentioned contract, this insurance can be offered by life insurance companies only. This is due to the fact that death insurance is the basis of this product. Non-life insurance companies lean towards creating insurance product with a structure (especially liability of the insurance company and completion of the contract) similar to group life insurance. Such insurance is based on flat-rate funeral expenses insurance. The article deals with legal issues of flat-rate funeral expenses insurance in the context of non-life insurance. Advantages and disad- vantages of group quasi-life insurance in non-life insurance are described as well.
