Environmental liability cover as a method od financing the risks in mining industry

Summary/Abstract: The goal of the paper is to present the problems related to the environmental aware- ness of enterprises on the basis of the analysis of some selected results of the tests aimed at assessing the level of enterprise insurance, carried out by the Central Statistical Office. The test was carried out for the sample of 45 434 enterprises using the insurance as a method of risk management. Own analysis and assessment have been carried out within the above mentioned report in respect of the readiness of the tested enterprises to conclude voluntary environmental liability insurance covering the losses in the environment caused in the consequence of its contamination.
