Summary/Abstract: Development of bank and insurance groups strengthens the processes associated with the sale of insurance products, especially when using the bank distribution channels. In com- parison to the classic distribution of insurance services such solutions offer mutual benefits to the bank, the insurer and the customers. The customers receive measurable benefits in the form of lower premiums, whereas the insurers have lower insurance product sales costs. The banks earn a commission on the collected premiums and offer a wider range of products as a result of this. In accordance with the adopted strategy companies jointly fulfilling the ban- cassurance concept create product offers that supplements one another, expand their distri- bution channels, mutually support one another in improving the sales processes in order to be able to offer customers comprehensive financial solutions. The author of the article ana- lyzed the development of that concept in Poland on the integrated financial services market.
