Summary/Abstract: The paper is, based on the accessible sources, focused on the radio broadcasting from the Soviet Union to the Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia during the World War II. The text primarily deals with the activities of the Soviet State Broadcast with regard to the Communist politician Rudolf Slánský. State Broadcast, from the organisational point of view, was not subordinated to the Comintern, however, it stayed under its influence since Georgi Dimitrov tried to interfere to the content of the broadcasting. The same applied to Rudolf Slánský who was subordinated in the party structure to Jan Šverma, a member of the Comintern secretariat. The paper focuses also on the practical aspects of the broadcasting, on the conditions under which the editors had to work as well as on the attempts of the Comintern and of the Soviet administration to interfere with broadcast content. After the Soviet Union was attacked by the Nazi Germany, the State Broadcast was supplemented with parallel independent radio that was subordinated directly to the Comintern. A brief history of both of these secret radios is also part of the text.
