Summary/Abstract: The documents presented in this material are the subject of documentation activities undertaken by the Abandonment Museum team related to the phenomenon of abandonment in Romania. The Museum of Abandonment is a digital and participatory forum museum that aims to map the culture of abandonment and reproduce a historical narrative of the phenomenon of child abandonment in Romania. The museum team identified a series of archival materials very important for the study of the phenomenon of Abandonment in Romania, namely five registries of admissions and adoptions from the former St. Catherine's Cradle in Bucharest. Among these registries were also found a number of documentss representing adoption requests, two of which were subjected to restoration operations, at the request of the Abandonment Museum team, who noticed their poor state of conservation.
