Summary/Abstract: "I have to admit that I might be accused of plagiarism for the title of my paper: I was inspired by Jim Sheridan’s film entitled In the Name of the Father, a film about the IRA, where a son sacrifices himself for his father. I am focusing on a similarly huge sacrifice, this time occurring along female “lines” within the family: this is going to be the story of a woman who is driven to murder her husband in order to save her child from further molestation.
