Summary/Abstract: The global health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and officially declared in March 2020 has caused tectonic disturbances in all aspects of social life, and has had a particularly strong impact on the organizational-institutional systems of performing arts and culture. The reaction of theater institutions and performing arts organizations was mostly unique on the global scene, and the Bosnian creative sector most often applied universal production and communication models developed during the early pandemic period. The work and organization of production in that two-year period (2020-2022) can be divided into three key and recognizable phases, primarily in relation to the degree of restrictiveness of the official measures and the overall epidemiological situation. A special challenge was presented by the processes of digital transformation, which were significantly initiated for the first time during the period of mass transfer of activities to online areas of remote work and virtual communication with audiences. The issues of the essence and ontology of the stage act and the (im)possibility of the performance adapted to the media that displace it from its traditional environment where direct communication with the audience is possible are updated. Special trials were imposed on the organizers and producers of theatre and music manifestations and festivals, whose adaptation to the new circumstances ranged from complete cancellation to program reconceptualization. The research and academic community paid special attention to projections of the future of the sector and the long-term impact of the consequences of the pandemic on its further development. Special attention in the research is devoted to the direct impacts that the crisis had on individuals, artistic and creative actors of the sector, in an economic and socio-cultural sense.
