Summary/Abstract: The paper is based on an analysis of indicators of labour market and demographic indicators in order to find a lot of information that will allow us to identify unemployment. This can help us with the description and specification of unemployment. The data analysis is performed by Cox proportional hazards regression model. This regression model allows us to process information related to a defined period. The analysed source is the Labour Force Survey. The obtained data supposedly show an unbalanced distribution and are censored. These two assumptions are the basic reason for choosing a survival analysis. The paper analysed two time periods in 2010 and 2011. The model included the following factors: gender, age group, the level of education completed and place of work of the respondent. It was found that among the „vulnerable groups“ there are mainly women, persons with primary education and those aged 15–24.
