Summary/Abstract: The development traces Adler’s biology-inspired ideas for the study of style and the place of metamorphosis in them, focusing on 4 main points: 1. to consider musical art as an organism consisting of life systems that correspond to each other; 2. to trace the development of musical art through styles, starting from the idea that each phenomenon has its own life cycle; 3. an evolutionist approach to the study of musical art to be conceptualized as a starting point in the study of the “laws” that govern music; and 4. the identification and tracking of transformations of stylistic elements to emerge and establish a new musical style.
