Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to provide the basic information about the functioning of economic instruments used in the raw material policy of the Czech Republic. The analysis of the effect of these instruments is accompanied by specific recommendations concerning their use in the future. The article does not analyze the impact of the economic instruments on the management of mining companies. Finally, the main advantages and disadvantages of the economic instruments in general terms are briefly described.
