Role of Non-verbal Communication in Teaching

Summary/Abstract: The contribution deals with the pedagogical communication (verbal and non-verbal) in the tertiary sphere of education. In the contribution we start from the hypothesis that the non-verbal communication is an integral and irreplaceable part of pedagogical academical communication. Without any non-verbal communication the quality of the teacher’s work would decrease. Using a survey we try to find out in which ways and how far the teacher is able to influence his students and influence the extent of their attention in the process of teaching.
