Summary/Abstract: Quality policy and quality management are crucial factors of a permanent economic growth of the company. Companies with modern quality management systems achieve significantly better long-term results than those with traditional business-oriented quality assurance implemented by means of inspection. The knowledge of the conditions and means of quality improvement should be a common part of the decision-making processes of managers. Objective calculations are the condition of quality control not only the quality but the production process, too. The analysis and the description of the economic effects and costs of quality improvement are still not provided with the adequate attention.
