Summary/Abstract: Investment is an important part of the gross domestic product of the Czech Republic having an average share of 24.7 % in the total GDP in the last five years with an average growth rate of 4 %. The conducted analysis showed that the interest rate is still the main determinant, but not the only one, influencing investment (correlation index R = -0.489). There are other influencing factors such as export, tax rate, or producers’ expectation expressed by the index of trust Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI). On the other hand, the acceleration principle was not proved in the analyzed economy.
