Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the EU geopolitical sphere in the broader scale, in the view of its overseas measure. The text focuses on the European Union’s maritime territory, especially on the Exclusive Economic Zones with their economic importance in global size. The main accent is concentrated on the French departments, especially Reunion and French Guayana with their strategic position in the sphere of sea trade lines and space policy.
