Summary/Abstract: Vasile Voiculescu was one of the most important writers in the interwar period, fostering the spiritual quest of the Absolute, drawing especially on imagery of religious origin, and one of the most original landscape poets in the entire Romanian literature, his depictions being infused with an unprecedented poignancy that rendering the spiritual struggle of the contemplator. He was considered, in the context of the other religious poets, the faithful poet. His scientific background, his medical studies, his views on philosophy and all the other fields of culture, art, literature, instead of detaching him from faith brought him closer to it, because his soul was based on the faith from which he built himself a life environment.
