Summary/Abstract: Along the years, many works on the Romanian people have been published. In this paper we present in two chapters only two of them. We try to synthesize the definitory characteristics as presented by Father Dumitru Stăniloae and by philosopher Constantin Noica – to create a spiritual portrait of the Romanian. The national costumes, traditions, houses, churches, songs and dances are all related to the spiritual existence of the Romanians, the definitory features of them being described in words of rare beauty by these two exponents of the Romanian culture. Through their works they confess the faith, unity, the love of nation and the spirit of communion, but also the other great virtues that our people has ever since his formation and until forever.
