Summary/Abstract: The article explores the issues of enmity and love and how they shape relationships between human beings in an individualistic world. One key point is that love is a driver of change in people and as such it can positively transform and perfect enemies. The source of love is God, who has loved us from the beginning and sent his only Son to save humankind. The paper highlights points of convergence between the world’s major religions, all of which uphold the fundamental role of love.
